N was doing his homework, as usual, he wondered around in between. Then he noticed that there was a little ant carrying food on the floor. As soon as he told mom, mom was freaked out... "Kill it, I do not want ants in my house!" She yelled... "But he is eating peacefully, can we let him finish his LAST MEAL before we kill him?"... Mom was speechless,,, killed one of the ants anyways...

Little has been wanting a DS for a long time. So the other night he asked again, I told him no since he really does need to limit his screen time. So here goes his argument:
N: "I will put it into my Christmas List!"
Mom says: "No, I will tell Santa not to send the gift!"
N: "No, you cannot talk to Santa, because he only comes out at midnight..."
Guess mommy has to find a way to speak to Santa:-)!

Mommy was sitting in her closet, looking at the piles of her shoes daughter was trying on. She was rather disturbed realize that daughter is growing up to be a big girl.
Little N walked in, asking: "Why are you upset? "
Mom said: "My shoes fit her, she is a big girl, not a my little girl anymore..."
Little N went to give mommy a big hug around her neck, comforting mommy and said: " Don't worry mommy, you still have me, a little boy in the house..."
Oh sweet sweet boy!...
Mommy's heart got melt! :-)
-
We were leaving Coldstone, driving in the parking lot. All a sudden Little N yelled: "look, Georgia Potato".... Daddy turned his head, realized: "you mean, Georgia Patio?!" Family laughing time...
-
Little N was eating his strawberries while mommy was washing the dishes. He suddenly made an announcement: "I know that after next week is Monday!"
I thought for a while, what does that mean? ....
He started to explain: "You know, the end of the week is Sunday, so after next week it will be Monday!..."
Ha! What a concept to understand:-)
-
Sissy came home from taekwondo and announced: "Ann is coming home from Holland!"... Little N jumped up and down, cheering: "Yea, Ann is coming back!... Who is Ann?!"...
Daddy laughed really loudly in his office...
-
Little N was complaining his computer program not loading correctly, daddy told him to hit "F5".
"Not working..." he yelled. Turned out, he held letter key "F" and number key "5" together to get his "F5" ...:-)
-
Well, it started like this -- I cuddled little N in his futon for his pre-sleeping..
He was dozing off and all a sudden, a big sneeze came out of him, my head is right underneath his chin chin so it got soaked by all means.
So I complained with a giggle that my head is soaked and wet, he responded with a quick response -- "mommy go get change?”
I asked, "What can I change?"
"Mommy changes your head!" he replied with a great confidence!
We giggled for a long time after that and of course he went to sleep late that night... :-):-)
-
As usually, I cuddled him in the futon for his pre-sleep and we sang songs and talked a little bit. So when I told him close his eyes to go to sleep tonight, he turned his head and looked at me saying "my eyes are broken" ...
It took me couple minutes to stop laughing...
Then, he put his little hand near his eye wiggling and making "gee gee ..." noise, "Ok, I am fixing it up!" ....
That took me couple more minutes to stop laughing...
-
We were having some brain game with little N this evening, he answered a bunch of questions for the 3`~4 year olds and he got them all right! So we just kept going...
"What is the meal after breakfast?" I asked
...
...
...
He thought for a while and looked at me very seriously, then answered -- "Oatmeal!"
gggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg
on the floor mommy and sissy went:-)
-
One night while I was trying to put little N down, he obviously was winded up and not very sleepy.
When I told him to go to sleep, he closed his eyes, started to roll his entire body on bed back and forth and making choo choo noise at the same time...
So I asked: What are you doing?
He said: I am a mixer, I am mixing things...
Faint :-)
-
The other day we went to the park playing, after we came home, I was doing some laundry.
Little came to me with excitement:
"Mommy, I have trees on my foot!"
I looked at him with surprise, "How did you get trees on your foot, honey?"
He proudly picked up one of his feet and showed me --
There, on his little blue sock, couple wood chips were stuck on it -- what a way to describe! Love It!
-
It had been a while that we were asking N how old he is -- figure he was answering correct while he was around 2 1/2 --
So one day, when we were in the store, a lady came over and complimented how cute our little guy is and started to ask him his age, here goes:
"How old are you?"
Guess what he said?
"Fine!" --
He got confused by those two sentences -- How old are you (and) How are you :-)
We explained to him and all laughed it out -- including him -- really has a sense of humor :-)
Now, if you ask him the same question "How old are you?"
He will answer say "Fine" with a naughty grim on his face...
-
One night, I was rather grumpy, so while I put little N down, I was short and telling him that I was grumpy at the time, well, guess what, he just turned around and wrapped his little arms around me, looking at me and said: No you are not grumpy, you are CUTE!
Faint! And of course I was de-grumped :-)
-
Daddy was trying to make some chocolate desert, Little N was running around circle asking this and that, why and how...
Daddy got a little bit irritated, so he said: "You are driving me nuts!"
Little N said: "Well, I am not driving, and I am not a nut!" :-)
-
While I was trying to put the Little N down, we had the conversation below:
N: I am scared
M: What are you scared about?
N: the monsters
M: Do not worry, mommy and daddy are very mean, we have scared the monsters away, they are going to different houses now.
N: But what if the other parents scare them away too?
M: Then they will scare each others
N: What if they do not want to scare each other
M: Then they will play with each other.
N: What if they do not want to play with each other?
M: Then they will go to the other planet, because earth is not fun for them anymore...
N: oh, they will just fly away? ....
-
Having nightly time with Little N, we decided to tell stories instead of reading books.
"Once upon a time" -- started as usual
"There was a little dinosaur"
"He could not find the way home"
"Dora said, do not worry, Let's get my GPS and find the way home for you!" Said little N :-)
Wow, see he has just upgraded Dora's Map to GPS:-)
-
We are on the way to Costco. When we drove by Chunk Cheese, little N yelled, "I am hungry, I want to eat there!"
I told him that we have been eating out enough and not eating out this month.
He then protested..."But we are not eating outside, we are going inside the building!"
Great argument ;)
-
"Well, you said you are full, why do you still want to eat?"
"Well, I am full of chocolate, but I am not full of oatmeal yet!"...
-
"Hi Dear, are you cold?"
"No, I am not cold, I HAVE a cold!"
-
I was working with little N on the math this afternoon. We put out two numbers of objects, and then I told him:
"Now you count out the total of those discs."
He looked down, grabbed one of his feet and asked " which toe toe? this one or that one?"
(I sometimes call his toes "toe toe"...)
-
Daughter drew a picture of horse, the close-up type -- but it has tiny eyes.
I looked at it and made my normal critical comment: “Horses usually have big pretty eyes!”
She looked at me, thought for a second, then said, "my horses are Chinese horses, so they have tiny eyes!"
Mommy faint!
-
We were getting ready for daughter to her Gym Camp this afternoon. There will be a water slide fun after the camp. While we were running around circles preparing to leave, Little N asked if he could go to the "one near our house" to go swimming (the pool is all he wanted to say)
So, as usual, I answered: “I will think about it!”
He looked at me very anxiously and asked: “Mommy, are you a fast thinker?”
Daddy laugher and told me secretly -- it always takes me a looooooooooong time to think about it :-)
Got busted by my little guy again!
-
I was exhausted because of the boot camp and lack of sleep lately. I finally collapsed on the couch while playing with little N. After I woke up, I asked him what he was doing while I was napping...
"I was doing whatever you dreamed about" he said,
"Then what was I dreaming about?” I asked,
"The thing I was doing!” -- he said with confidence!
-
This afternoon, I sat with little N working on his "homework book" -- basically learning letters, numbers, shapes and tracing stuff...
After he finished tracking one of the duck images, I volunteered to draw a duck on the side – couple minutes later, a perfect duck was landing on the side of his traced duck. He looked up at me and praised -- you are a smart girl!
-
The other day, we all decided to sing songs. Everybody is singing their favorite songs,
Little N decided to show off his voice, so here he went:
"Row row row your boat, gently down the stream,
Marily Marily Marily, Life is ....(short stop) DOWN the drain...
We all laughed so hardt!.... -- But I guess he has figured out the secret of life! :-)
-
I was in the laundry room, over heard my kids conversation, it started like this...
N: What is this?
E: A bug bite.
N: What is a bug bite?
E: The bug bit my arm!
N: So the bug ate your arm?
Mommy laughed out so loud in the laundry room...
